Q) What does NAQ mean, exactly?
A) It means Never Asked Questions, as apposed to 'Frequently Asked Questions.'

Q) Where did you get the idea for a web comic?
A) Well, Dimples was originally a 200 page hand drawn comic that I wrote over a period of 2 years, from when I was 17 to 19. Then I met a friend who was also an artist and had started a web comic of her own, called 'Jitters'. In fact, I was a character briefly in that comic. Eventually, we stopped being friends with her and she stopped making the comics. However, that was the inspiration for me to start this comic.

Q) How did Colin get his name?
A) Well, heh, in the original paper version, his name was Eddie, and he was named by Aeryanna, who suggested the name. I was also freakishly obsessed with Eddie Cibrian at that time, so I guess thats where it came from in that case. When I
was busy giving birth to the concept of Online Dimples, I again consulted Aeryanna who suggested the name of Colin, which I liked. His middle name was of my own choosing, as was his last name. Oh ya, and in the original book, Colin never changed his last name to spite his father; he retained the McBride name.

Q) Is Colin based on anyone? Even ever so slightly?
A) No. His looks are based solely on the fact that I like men with black hair and brown eyes. His personality is probably a mixture of the many people who have graced my life, and a little bit of what I like in men. He may or may not also be my male alter ego. (Lita:“I knew it!”)

Q)Which characters are based on real people?
A) Look at the cast page, anyone, with the exception of Darryl, of course, who has a picture next to their character, is based on a real person. Kate, Sarah Joy and Michelle are based on real people too, but there were never any pictures provided for them. Also, most of my friends wrote their own profiles. The only exception is Charlie, whos picture was removed, when we (as a group) sadly, parted friendship with her.

Q)Then why does Colin have a picture next to him if hes not based on someone?
A) I dont know what you are talking about!

Q) Was the child in comic # 268 with Colin's ex-girlfriend who looks suspiciously like Colin, in fact, his son?
A) I dont know, but if it is, that'll come back to haunt him, Im sure!

Q) How long does it take to make a comic?
A) Anywhere from 20-45 minutes. Depends how distracted I am by things, like TV, chatting on MSN, or whatever else. It also depends on if I have to create any new characters (like a store clerk, a chauffeur, a client or a tourist) or if I have to create any objects, vehicles or new backgrounds. Those comics will always take longer.

Q) How do you make it?
A) Well, as you can tell, all of the characters are pre-drawn, which means I basically just copy and paste them into the scenes. However, I dont have a whole bunch of interchangeable heads with different expressions on them. I actually have to manually change the facial expressions by tweaking them slightly. Or sometimes, more dramatically. I also have to create different hand and arm positions (which often come out sloppy when Im in a hurry), and of course, I have to make sure their clothing are changed and not repeated too often.

Q) Can I be a character in your comic?
A) No.

Q) Please?
A) No.

Q) Why not?
A) Well simple point of fact is, that I do not know you. If I have met you in person, yes, maybe. Furthermore, this comic is already bursting at its figurative seams with an overflow of characters. It is difficult enough as it is to try and give all my friend's characters equal time!

Q) What if I paid you?
A) Paypal only please. Actually, that would get you a free drawing, or maybe a guest spot, but thats about it.

Q) Why did you kill Colby?
A) Well, I figured he died for all the men in the world that have ever mistreated their woman.

Q) Why are you so cruel to your web comic husband? (Like all the accidents he has) Dont you love him?
A) I thought I covered this numerous times in the blog? I told you, Im sadistic. And it is kind of hard to love someone who isnt real! (Well if I did, Im sure I would be committed by my friends)

Q) Would you be that mean to your real life husband?
A) If I thought he would enjoy it.

Q) What does ENS mean? It was mentioned in comic # 179.
A) It means “Erect Nipple Syndrome” which is the condition where your nipples become instantly hard in cold weather. Ive heard its quite painful.

Q) Why did you decide to make Colin a superhero?
A) Because I love superheros? And it makes it more fun for me!

Q) Why did you kill off Mavis? I liked her!
A) I dont like to call it a “killing off”. More like being “laid to rest” because she was, despite her annoyances, a likable character. I just thought that it would keep the comic somewhat realistic, despite the aliens, teleportation devices, and superheros. Oh, that and I like to abuse Colin mentally too. lol!

Q) Listen, I have a bunch of ideas on how to make this comic really take off and go places!
A) Let ME tell you some place you can go! If youve got ideas, suggestions, story ideas, scripts and even constructive criticism for me, thats great, Ill hear them, but DONT tell me how to run it or how your ideas will “save” Dimples. Also, that wasnt a question!

Q) Why the heck did you create a character to look like Gerard Butler?
A) Its a fantasy comic, stupid. I tried to hide it from you but apparently Im just that good of an artist. HAHAHA!!! XD

Q) Is Mina going to leave Colin for him or something?
A) Mina is very loyal and strongly hates adultery. She also finds Darryl is not quite her type, personality wise. Its not ALL about looks, you know!
